MAYBELLINE - Fit Me!

 BRAND: Maybelline
PRODUCT: Foundation 120

Here goes my second review of many. I am really enjoying this actually because I love to write, and try new things!

This review is based on first time use of this product, and I will give another review in a month.

My overall first impression for this product is so-so.
The price of this procduct is reasonable for the budget friendly spenders, so long as you get it at WalMart. I bought this at Shoppers Drugmart so I paid about 11$.
This foundation gets a big bonus because there is a zero smell to it unlike the foundation from my previous review.

Other than the oiliness of this foundation. I also don't find it very reliable for all day wear.  Just after a few hours after I found that it "melted" into lines of my face or and "pot holes". Mostly within the lines of my neck and left my neck to look dirty and unwashed.

APPLICATION:The way I applied this foundation as I do all foundation at this moment is a clean angled sponge. I first pour a small dollop of foundation into the palm of my hand and dap my sponge into it and then to my face.
Next I will try using a foundation brush to apply the liquid instead of the sponge and see if that changes anything.

Once I have finished applying the foundation I find that it feels oilily even with a setting powder.

BRAND: Maybelline
PRODUCT: Pressed Poweder - 120.

This is the setting powder that goes with the foundation. The only product I did not buy in this line was the
concealer. I've never been much of a concealer person, but I'm going to get to it eventually.

First impression of this product, not very impressed to be honest. The powder is pressed, and I like to use my brushes to apply powder and I find it hard to grab any of the product.

Although I enjoy the cute little compact duo mirror & compartment, I didn't like the powder puff that comes with the compact. I haven't used this yet, but I will try. I don't like that fact that there is no band to slip your fingers through on the backside of the powder puff. It would make using it a lot easier then holding an edge of the puff.

Price wise - again I paid for this at Shoppers Drug-mart, so I paid more than I had too as this was about 11$ there, and it is 8$ at Walmart. I could have gone to Walmart, but I was too lazy (haha).

OVER ALL:
At this moment, I'm not really sold on using this product in the future based on the oiliness feeling I get from the foundation. I will continue to use this product for the month and give another review.

COVER GIRL - First Impressions/Review.

COVER GIRL FOUNDATION -110

REVLON POWDER - 020; LIGHT/MEDIUM
 BRAND: Cover Girl
- Foundation, Clean: normal skin.
NUMBER: 110, classic ivory.

I have never been much of a foundation person up until 2 years ago. So still being some what new to this, I've only tried a few types of foundations. Before this I used Cover Girl Mouse.

Here are my first impressions of Cover Girl Foundation.

I'm not sure if there is an exact name for this type of foundation but it is shown in the first picture. It is a triangle shape. Where I live, there are two places I buy from: Walmart & Shoppers Drug Mart. The price of this foundation is cheapest at WalMart. ( I do not remember the exact price on this but it was around 8$ ). My impression on price is good. I'm a cheap shopper so I'm always looking for deals :).

Using the product
When I watch make up reviews I always hear someone talking about the foundation being "cakey". I would just like to say that you are putting things onto your face, so of course it's going to feel "cakey". But I find this foundation  goes on rather smooth and doesn't feel so "cakey". This may depend on how you apply it, I personally use an angled sponge.

What I really dislike about this product is the smell. At first I thought it could just be because it was new, but the smell lasted the entire month that I used this product. And the smell didn't go away after applying it either. I can not describe something that it smells similar too, but it is not pleasant at all. The smell made me not want to buy this product again.

Recommend: I do not recommend this product if you do not like a foundation that stinks.

BRAND: Revlon
- Powder, PhotoReady
NUMBER: 020 : Light/Medium

I would just like to say that this was my first powder I have used. Before this I never knew you were suppose to set a liquid foundation with a powder. The reason that this is Revlon is because I don't know if there's a difference using the same two products or two different, and for the fact the Revlon was a bit cheaper for my budget at the time of purchase. I do not remember the price of this product anymore, but I bought it at Shoppers Drug Mart, so I paid a little more than I would have of Walmart.
I like this product. It smells good, no harsh stink smell, gives me a flawless blend to my foundation. And again, any make up is going to look "cakey", but everyone has a different level of what "cakey" is. My only downfall to this product for me is that I unfortunately had an allergic reaction to the powder. It made my face very itchy for the first hour of applying. This being my first powder I'd used I thought it was normal, but after using it for a month and using another setting powder I realize it was a reaction. But other than that I found this an excellent product. Do not let my reaction discourage you from purchasing this item :)
Recommend: Yes.
